Come to Korea for free through Makgeolli?

You've probably seen Korean dramas where the characters drink this milky kind of "thing" in a stainless golden bowl and get drunk...yep apparently it's not milk...it's Korea's very own alcoholic beverage called makgeolli or Korean rice wine. Korea likes you to make a UCC about your makgeolli experience and you'll get a chance to win fabulous prizes! Talking about 3 million won and free trip to Korea! Check the poster below for details and guidelines ^^

The Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries is hosting a video contest on the topic of makgeolli to promote the traditional Korean rice wine.

The contest is open for anyone over the age of 19. Groups or individuals can participate by making a short video on makgeolli in English, Japanese, or Chinese, uploading it to YouTube, and submitting an application form via email. The contest deadline is September 9th.

The winners will be announced on October 15th online as well as contacted individually. The Grand Prize winners will be invited to the Korea Traditional Liquor & Grand Festival in Korea along with a prize package that includes air tickets, accommodation for two nights, a minister’s award, and 3 million won.
