Air Busan to book flights to Japan
Air Busan Co., a Korean low-cost air carrier, said yesterday that it will take ticket reservations for flights linking Busan, Korea’s biggest port city, with two Japanese cities starting this week, before the launch of services on the new routes.
Air Busan, whose controlling stake is owned by Asiana Airlines Inc., the country’s second-largest airline, will make two round trips a day between Busan and Fukuoka starting March 29 and Busan and Osaka beginning on April 26 on a code-sharing basis with Asiana.
Code sharing allows one carrier to sell its tickets on the other’s flights in order to boost revenue by increasing passenger numbers and destinations.
